For the record, two pieces of information on my 64-bit FreeBSD test
platform:

1. It's running in a jail. (See
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/jails.html). I
updated it's info page to reflect this.

2. I just fixed a permissions problem with the /tmp directory. Attempts to
write there would fail. (This problem existed for the last couple months,
since an upgrade.)
