The first thing to realise is that most of boost does not require you to
build anything (just use the headers), those parts that do require building
(currently the thread, regex, and python libs), can be built pretty easily
without using the jam build system if you would rather - just build
libs/foo/src/*.cpp into an archive in order to build lib "foo".
