Typedef to change the name shared_ptr?

Hello,

Is there some way I can abbreviate the name shared_ptr? I make
extensive use of it, and my code tends to be ugly...

vector<p<int> > v;

would be much better than 

vector<shared_ptr<int> > v;

is something like 

typedef shared_ptr p;

possible?
