Yes!
I tried several more dates:
2005-02-31 - no exception
2005-11-31 - no exception
2005-02-32 - exeption is thrown "Day of month value is out of range 1..31"
Looks like the day of month is (well - was) only checked for being 
between 1-31.
Stefan already added the fix and a test case.
