[Boost-users] Mutex synchronized LockingPtr in Boost?

Is there a class in Boost that implements functionality similar to Andrei 
Alexandrescu's mutex-synchronized LockingPtr as described in his Feb. 2001 
CUJ article http://www.cuj.com/documents/s=7998/cujcexp1902alexandr/?

I checkout boost::smart_ptr but don't see that any of these deal with 
interprocess / interthread synchronization.
