If you follow the link from the page above you will see:
"Greenwich Mean Time is a widely used historical term, but one that has been
used in several ways. Because of the ambiguity, its use is no longer
recommended in technical contexts."

If I understand the text, UTC is a different standard which is the same as one
of the GMT interpretations.
