Have you checked SOCI?

This is a very innovative and extensible library written in
"modern C++", with pluggable backends.
Currently, following backends are available:
    * Oracle
    * PostgreSQL
    * MySQL
    * SQLite

BTW, I'd like to invite interested developers to add new backends.
There is a ready to use template called in the src/backends/empty
directory of CVS sources tree.
