I also know little about bjam, but your line looks like you are using
version 1 of bjam and the guid library only has scripts to be build with
version 2 of bjam. Check with bjam --version I belive.

For myself, if I want to just build the guid library, then I use:
%BOOST_ROOT%\libs\guid\build\bjam
