[Boost-users] thread creating just hangs

Hey folks,
    I'm new to boost.  I've used pthread and wanted to try out boost::thread.  After installing the latest release I found that creation of the thread instance simply hangs.  I use CentOS 4.3 on a single CPU machine.  

Has this happened to anyone else?
