Latest and greatest lives in branches/proto/v4. I'm still working on the 
docs. I'll probably merge to trunk sometime in a week or so, and 
continue working on the docs there.

Ouch. I guess you could use the version in the file vault, but it's a 
little out of date. Next week I'll put proto v4 in the file vault and 
generate pdf docs.
