It stalled when I became convinced that C++ core language changes were
what was really needed. Work on Boost.Endian stopped while I shepherded
proposals through the standards committee for C++0x. That's now done and
reflected in the working draft of the standard.
I recently started to update Boost.Endian and could post a copy if you
are still interested.
