Subject: [Boost-users] [Filesystem] create dir tree

In the past, I've used a function like "assure_path_exists" which will create it if necessary, multiple levels deep if the parent(s) don't already exist.

Does the creation function in this library create intermediate directories? The docs are not clear.

I also want to efficiently and silently accept the case where the directory already exists. Does the creation function do that (how to tell real errors?), or do I need to check first?
