I'm sorry I don't understand the question.
Either use inheritance or repeat the name.
template<class T>
struct A
{
typedef T type;
};
template<class A>
struct B : A
{
};
or
template<class A>
struct B
{
typedef typename A::type type;
};
you can do the same with non-type template parameters.
