His prefix is the same, so they end up in the same tree.
This is perfectly sane, as they have disjoint names:
  libboost_python3.a
  libboost_python3.so
  libboost_python3.so.1.54.0
  libboost_python.a
  libboost_python.so
  libboost_python.so.1.54.0
