I have successfully built the libraries on Ubuntu 18.04

With gcc 7.0.5 with the following configurations:
* cxxstd=03
* cxxstd=11
* cxxstd=14
* cxxstd=17

And with Apple clang tip-of-tree with the following configurations:
* cxxstd=03
* cxxstd=11
* cxxstd=14
* cxxstd=17
* cxxstd=2a
