I agree with this. However, other people will state "a library that
wishes... should have rays and lines and circles implemented". Or "...
should have 3D fully implemented". Or similar.

But the things you ask for are relatively easy (e.g. difference
point/polygon) or partly implemented (e.g. difference
linestring/polygon, depending on intersections linestring/polygon, see
previous mail to John), so hopefully it will not take too long.
