Hi,

Spatial Index is now ready for release, and will be released in the next 
version, Boost 1.54. The Spatial Index component is developed by Adam 
Wulkiewicz for Boost.Geometry.

The Spatial Index of Boost.Geometry was originally started by Federico 
Fernandez during the Google-Of-Summer project 2008, mentored by Hartmut 
Kaiser.

After that, it had a transitional sleeping period, until Adam Wulkiewicz 
it up in 2011, and since then has been working hard redesigning it, 
reimplementing it, corresponding with us and with this mailing list 
about it.

Adam Wulkiewicz is now also part of the Boost.Geometry team.
