Hi,

I wonder, would it make sense to consider submitting the promote_integral
to more general purpose Boost library?
Boost.Integral perhaps?

The only similar, but different utility is this integral_promotion:

I think, promote_integral would be useful in Boost.GIL and perhaps other places.
