Geometry Boost List: [geometry] Potential Gsoc project topic

Hello everyone,

I am Ayush Gupta, a CSE sophomore at Indian Institute of Technology,
Roorkee. I wanted to discuss a potential gsoc 2021 project topic with the
mentors of this organization. The project topic I propose are :
1) Implementation of surface area function for Polyhedral Surfaces and
other 3d point sets.
2) A distance function for calculating the shortest distance between a 3d
point set and other 3d geometries (like a point or a polyhedron).
3) Convex hull for 3d point sets using the quick hull algorithm.

I wanted to know the feasibility of the project proposed and the
suggestions on the same.
