It doesn't seem like this ever made it into the bindings CVS.

I've reattached the patch to ensure availability, and I'd like to
politely request that someone commit it. The patch puts the UMFPACK
bindings back in a usable state by fixing the index1_storage() member
function of the compressed_matrix traits class. The UBlas side of the
patch has already been committed.
