My own $0.02:

The price of admission was much higher than claimed.  First, I had to
screw around with turning off my proxy and changing my cookie
configuration under Konqueror, then give up and try netscape, agree to
accept cookies I don't even know how many times, send in my
registration, go through some bullshit about linking my email address,
wait around for email to come back with some kind of code, send the
code back to them ....

Any reason we don't put this stuff on sourceforge?  I heard one
comment, that we didn't want to make prerelease stuff public.  Can't
we just make it very clear that this is version
0.0.0-prealpha-don't-use?
