Publicly acknowledging a gift is entirely appropriate; and linking
to the giver's site is the Way of the Web...the more links, the
merrier.
The implementation probably should be of reasonably good quality,
though, because it will certainly seem to some visitors that Boost
endorses the product. (The disclaimer that Bill Kempf suggested,
although worthwhile, could easily be overlooked in practice.)
Also, if the implementation is known to be of low quality; then
Boost probably wouldn't lose anything by saying, "Thanks, but no
thanks," to the whole deal.
