At least the name "numeric_traits" is taken by
boost/detail/numeric_traits.hpp.

Before being able to create a classification (so does your numeric_traits<>
proposal), we need to have a good grasp what the population (quaternions,
octonions, rationals, ...) we want to classify looks like.  We've seen
just a few examples so far.
