i'm a newcomer, too. i joined this group, a couple of weeks ago, cause
boost was refered as the new development platform for mtl-3.

i'd suggest exploring the main "interfaces" of mtl3/ublas, try to create
pieces of documentation (if you didn't recognize: i'm not a native
english speaker) and discussing pros and cons. maybe with small snippets
of code.

any better suggestion?
