Around the first of the year, www.boost.org was being visited by about
1,500 people a week. The boost_all files were being downloaded around 250
times a week.
Then we switched hosts, and stopped getting the weekly visit reports; the
new host required a problematic setup I never go around to completing. A
couple of weeks ago I finally completed the setup, and am now getting
reports again.
While last week obviously may have been totally atypical, the numbers are
still interesting. Unique site visitors a week is now around
4,600. Downloads of boost_all.zip and boost_all.tar.gz total close to
2,000.
While I don't put a lot of faith in the specific numbers, the trend is
still clear. More and more programmers are finding Boost, and downloading
the libraries. That can't be just happenstance; people must actually be
using our stuff and telling others about Boost:-)
