I wondering if for this release we should be more rigid in our pre-release
procedures. Every Boost release is important, but this one will be available
for a long time without us having the ability to directly update it, so any
bug will come back to haunt us over and over again.

I would suggest a feature freeze within the next few days (the 20th?), and
then the remaining time would be used for bug fixes only, and hopefully we
would have a greater frequency of regression testing within that period.
