Is there any restriction on the values that can be selected for these unique
identifiers? I would expect some of those values to have been reserved by
the BGL already. Do they have to be unique across the entire application? If
so, that scares me. Is there no other way? It seems as though something like
Emily Winch's paper http://www.oonumerics.org/tmpw01/winch.pdf might offer a
solution.
