Perhaps the name "associative_list" is OK as long as this class is put in
a namespace that carries the idea of it being a compile-time thing, like
mpl.

I'd prefer to see algorithms on such things come later. I don't like
reviewing huge libraries... I'd rather have them split into smaller
peices.
