Ack, my mistake. I didn't have -foptimize-sibling-calls in the build anyway.
According to the GCC manual, -foptimize-sibling-calls in not in the official
GCC 2.95.3. And, of course, neither 2.95.4 nor 2.96 exist in the eyes of GNU,
and they never will....
