Could you wait a little bit till Policy-Based Smart pointer will find it's
way into boost (I hope). Then you could create smart pointer of your choose
without need to convince anybody that it's better for them either. Try one
of the existing versions (original Loki or one of two ports in vault area)
and let me know if you could not get the same performance/convenience
characteristics as you wanted.
