As I said at the time Stephane pointed out the bug, I have reported it
in the STLport forum (see
http://www.stlport.com/cgi-bin/forum/dcboard.cgi?az=list&forum=DCForumID6&conf=DCConfID1,
the subject is 'Streams: inconsistent handling of overflows').

Actually the forum seems quite dead to me and nobody so far has
replied.
