Converting to C++ would have advantages - it broadens the number of
Boosters who can help with maintenance, for example.

I'm also very much interested in discovering what remaining script-like
programs are still unduly difficult to implement using the combination of
the C++ Standard Library + Boost libraries.

OTOH, you are the one doing the work, so you get the last say:-)
