"Diff" is the output from GNU diff utility, and also from "cvs diff" command.
Both of them should be available for Windows, if you're working on it.
"Unified" is a particular kind of "diff" output, which is more handy than the
default one to understand what was changed. It's described in
http://www.gnu.org/manual/diffutils/html_node/Unified-Format.html#Unified%20Format
