Robert,

I'm successfully text-archiving in one of my projects. Ease of
implementation and performance are outstanding. I've been able to build the
library in release mode successfully as well. Although I'm not able to
directly archive shared_ptr<>'s. I get the following compilation error
attempting to compile demo_shared_ptr:

------ Build started: Project: demo_shared_ptr, Configuration: Debug
Win32 ------

Compiling...
demo_shared_ptr.cpp
c:\boost\boost_1_30_2\boost\serialization\shared_ptr.hpp(79) : error C2259:
'boost::detail::sp_counted_base' : cannot instantiate abstract class
        due to following members:
        'void boost::detail::sp_counted_base::dispose(void)' : pure virtual
function was not defined
        c:\boost\boost_1_30_2\boost\serialization\shared_count.hpp(117) :

        'void *boost::detail::sp_counted_base::get_deleter(const type_info

        c:\boost\boost_1_30_2\boost\serialization\shared_count.hpp(126) :

c:\boost\boost_1_30_2\boost\serialization\shared_ptr.hpp(84) : error C2143:
syntax error : missing ';' before 'namespace'

demo_shared_ptr - 2 error(s), 0 warning(s)

Any thoughts?
