Yes, there are several reasons. We want it to match the form of the
TR1 proposal more closely. You can see recent changes to those
documents in libs/iterator/doc/new-iter-concepts.* and
libs/iterator/doc/facade-and-adaptor.*. Of course, we are also
looking at some more changes to the TR1 proposals, which I'd like to
try to do all at once. I'd rather not release two consecutive
interface-breaking changes to the iterator adaptors library, if
possible.

I think making decisions about some of this stuff is going to require
attention from a few more people than just me. If we have sufficient
critical mass of interest here on this list, I'll be happy to raise
the issues here.
