And please don't forget that on 32bit HP-UX they're called
.sl (not .so), and use SHLIB_PATH, not LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

On 64bit HP-UX everything is the same as other UNIX
platforms, but SHLIB_PATH is also searched as a
Last resort (so it should be unset).
