I agree that we should just check for the Borland compiler (until they fix
the ABI, when a version check can be applied).
As for the Win32-targeted compiler, I don't have access to Kylix? or Linux,
so don't know if the problem is a Borland+Windows specific problem or
whether it applies to the Linux version as well.
