Yes, though I'm not sure yet that the flex_string policy based approach
wouldn't work just as well. I guess if this capability is at least an
implementation detail of your fixed_string you can easily make it
available for review/comparison. If you do, I will certainly give it a
go and post a review of that feature (I'm interested in fixed_string
anyway).
