I see it now. Apparently there is either a boost macro configuration in 7.1
that is preventing this that needs to be ported to 8.0, or Microsoft has
introduced a bug in the stream library in the 8.x beta. I don't see anything
in the boost config -- maybe we should submit a beta bug report?
