The VisualAge Classlibrary did that (which has been renamed to OCL and,
alas, is now obsolete). Try to google some information on it to get
ideas. It was a very good class library. I was quite satisfied with it.
OS/2 - like Mac - has (0,0) on lower left. The OCL was crossplatform
with OS/2, Windows and AIX.
