OK, I'll try rebuilding with the command line you offer tonight. Per the
"getting started" section of boost.org, I used the following command line:

bjam "-sVC71_ROOT=C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7"

Having them all in one directory is just what I want...
