I missed this:

** Download Boost from here <link:Windows self-extracter>.  Extract
the files in C:\ [self extracter will create a boost_<version> subdir]
 
> ** Start Menu > Run > cmd

** Type <code>chdir c:\boost_<version></code>

> ** bjam -sTOOLS=vc-7_1
