Yes. I agree that at the moment there are no right place. But it's also
clear that nobody uses root (or very few people). Everybody uses
<drive>:\%something%\boost, so \dev\boost, \libs\boost or \program
files\boost seems to be a bit more reasonable than just \boost. I vote
for \dev - it's short and satisfies both tools like bjam and libraries..
Or maybe \dev\libs :)
