Try "bjam test".  You should see lines like:

execute-test ../../../bin/boost/libs/thread/test/test_read_write_mutex_lib.test/gcc/debug/runtime-link-static/threading-multi/test_read_write_mutex_lib.run
**passed** ../../../bin/boost/libs/thread/test/test_read_write_mutex_lib.test/gcc/debug/runtime-link-static/threading-multi/test_read_write_mutex_lib.test
