FWIW I have used my pc to design and print uv masks for pcbs on to film via a
laser printer.
It works fine and is very accurate for prototyping.

Its quite common to use screenshots of dialogs in help files.
FWIW a help system is an integral part of the GUI which hasnt been discussed. I
would guess it should use html.
