I'm using 4.0.2 - when the error really existed (see below) I still used
a patched 3.4 though. I'm using -Wall -W -Werror (which I can really
recommend to everybody - it requires good and warning-free third-party

It's very embarassing that I am seemingly wrong. The warning's have gone
