A default build of CVS head built with stock gcc 3.4.6 on
x86_64 only produces 412Mb in the bin/boost/libs/wave
directory -- and this effectively includes 16 copies of
everything: individual object files or libraries; archives
or shared libraries; debug or release builds; multi-threaded
or not. The release shared objects are only 1.2 Mb which
hardly seems excessive.
