[boost] Why is checked_deleter class not templated on function arg instead of class?

Hi,

I'd really want to do just: for_each(..., ..., checked_deleter());

* Is it because of argument_type? (I'd guess so)
* Is it necessary to define argument_type as it is, and not with a 
lookup on args (as in BLL) ?
