When people reply without a blank line separating new from quoted text:
> quote somebody saying something
> about something they said
Your reply to the original poster's
thesis, or even:
>
> quote somebody saying
> something about something they
> said
>
Your reply to the quoted text
It gets really hard (for me, at least) to distinguish what you wrote
from what the other person wrote. I know this seems nitpicky, but I
ask that anyone who can tolerate it leave a blank line around replies,
as follows:
> quote somebody saying something
> about something they said
Your reply to the original poster's
thesis, or even:
> quote somebody saying
> something about something they
> said
Thanks,
