In effect, it has already started on the trunk. Any developer wishing to 
  get stuff ready for 1.37 (or 1.36.1 if there are no new libraries 
ready) should already be committing their next release material to 
trunk, clearing test failures, soliciting any needed feedback from the 
list, etc.

AFAICS, the quarterly schedule still stands.
